Old

Young life

What rights do we really have?
Brought up with drugs learning to not listen
But its starting to get harder
Your start believing what they say
Unpredictable as the weather
Whether torn up by friends or family
Your used to it
But its starting to get harder
The edge is near in more places than one
If happiness is warm gun
Why are you so scared??
He doesn't love you and you've always known.
But its starting to get harder.
More than half your friends dont really care.
Theres no such thing is a secret
And the word is out, your a fake.
No one around you but your own thoughts
This is starting to get harder.
Everything is different now.
Maybe if that haven't of happen,
All of this wouldn't have happened.
But its there your guardian angel
And you know everything will be okay
When its right there by your side.
Nothing is to hard, and you don't have to go throught it alone.

My Favorite Youtube Video

I don't think I need to describe why this is so awesome.

Five Favorite Songs of August

This blog should really be title my five songs of summer. But here it goes five songs that encompass my feeling of summer that I listened to very, very often. They are all good in their own way. Everyone has there summer songs, these are mine. Here's to a rain, bland, summer. One I won't remember really.

1. Adam Lambert - Is Anybody Listening? (From Ten Commandments)

If had to describe my music this summer, I would probably just say Adam Lambert. This video is from 5 years ago. Still amazing and boy he's gotten even better too. I have everything by him on my Ipod. From Feelin' Good to Cryin' to Tracks Of My Tears to Ring Of Fire to Want, it's all just so amazing. I admire him for working through all the homophobic people out there, which I believe is the reason he lost. Middle America is the core of voting for American Idol and they are the one who would like a man such as Kris Allen. Disgusting. Anyways, I encourage you to listen to Adam.

This song in particular strikes me when he sings "You can tie a rock to my soul, but you can't build a prison for my mind, no, you can chain my body to thee earth, but still my spirit flies, my spirit flies." Beautiful words. Captures the fact that nothing can crush your spirit.

2. Mozart - Requiem - Lacrimosa

This is song is bad ass, to put it simply. To all the kids who don't listen to classical music, screw them, this is real musical talent at its finest. Classical music is beautiful and calming. I call this "God music" because I imagine like a Medieval war going on to this crap and the Latin lyrics and style of singing. Very fun to listen to while reading Beowulf which is not exactly amusing.

3. Kanye West - The Glory

I was debating between this and Kid Cudi - "Make Her Say" which is also a good song. Kanye West, in my opionon is the best rapper out there right now. He's not afraid to be honest and be cocky as hell, trait that are not exactly admirable but somehow he makes it that way. His raps are a joy to sing and dance to especially while riding in a car with your shades on with your best friend. Basically everything Mr. West touches turns to gold.

4. My Chemical Romance - My Way Home Is Through You

My Chemical Romance captures my feelings and attention once again with this hit. Off their B-side of The Black Parade, My Way Home Is Through You has been on my Ipod for nearly a year without me truly listening to it, but one day this summer, I did. Boy, did it catch me. From the first note to that last lyric, I loved it, as I love everything else they put out. Ah, I just really enjoy them. Give 'em a listen.

5. Nine Inch Nails - A Warm Place

This song has no words yet it is one of the most powerful songs I have ever heard. Well, I lied it has one lyric in the beginning if you listen very very closely whispered in the background for the first about 15 seconds it says "The best thing about life is knowing you put it together." My takes is that when you feel lonely or lost there is always something inside you, to me it's God, but it can change for anyone else. But that life is yours and that you must just continue on and endure. This song helps me endure and relaxes me beyond anything. Nine Inch Nails is a terrific band that reaches into the deepest of depths.

it was me all along

out of the looking box
and into the night
you made his soul take flight
now the bird must fly alone
to a place that is unknown

landing lightly at a dirty bird bath
he seems to now have choose his path
he dips his head and drowns it all out
he doesn't intend on coming up for air
he flies again this time inside and doesn't care
it's the morning and everyone gone and left
he is feeling quite bereft
and he doesn't feel the same his wings feel heavy
chevying after something that will never be
now i think i can finally see
i knew this was never meant to be
he learned from his wrongs
and corrected his ways
but its okay he doesn't have to pay
he knows where he belongs and flies back home

out of the looking box
and into the night
i made his soul take flight
i just want everything to be alright

dear God may it be
he makes it home safely back to me
out of the looking box
and into the night
he made my soul take flight.

an aplogy or a thanks

you weren't the first
you weren't the last
you weren't the any
you weren't the many
you weren't the only
you weren't the best
nor were you the worst
you weren't my favorite
you weren't mine
but
you are everything

yet now you are nothing
if there was anyway to touch a memory
i would know it

i wish i could hold you now

drink now, forever hold your peace

sometimes i think its to good to be true,
i know it sounds trite,
but everything was alright,
whenever you walked in,
you are a breath of fresh air,
but i know you much to well,

sometimes i think,
better than i know myself,
i know you'll leave,
but your heart is that of an unbound child

i dream that one day,
your heart will drink its fill,
and your lungs are finished,
that my voice will guide you home,
as your voice guided me to safety

the window is open,
the light shines in,
it goes on, and on,
but please remember dearest,
to leave my heart when you,
in hopes that one day,
it may be rejuvenated with love once lost

remember home is always near.
